Alicia

Alicia is an experienced Specialist Teacher and Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) Assessor. Alicia gained her Masters in Education (MEd) in 2022. Her research focus was the impact of music training on demonstrations of dyslexia. Alicia brings experience from fifteen years of working in education with ten years in assessing for Special Educational Needs (SEN). Alicia is skilled in assessing for dyslexia, ADHD and DCD maintaining a strong CPD portfolio. Alicia is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and holds an Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC). Alongside assessments, Alicia researches music and dyslexia on a cognitive and behavioural level. Music plays a large part in her approach to dyslexia tuition, with a particular interest in the Kodály approach to teaching and sharing music.
